Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a foil-lined 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Melt chocolate squares and butter in a medium saucepan or microwave. Add sugar and eggs; mix well. Stir in flour.
Spread half of batter in prepared pan. Bake 25 minutes or until firm to touch. Meanwhile, microwave caramels and cream on high for 3 minutes or until caramels start to melt. Whisk until smooth. Stir in 1 cup pecans. Gently spread caramel and cream mixture over brownie batter in pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Pour remaining unbaked batter evenly over caramel mixture; sprinkle with 1 cup pecans.
Bake an additional 30 minutes. Cool in pan. Lift out of pan with foil.
Serves 12 to 16.
