Spoonbread Mix --- A Traditional Southern Comfort Food!
A southern favorite and relative of cornbread, spoon bread is not really a bread at all, but rather a creamy smooth corn pudding you serve piping hot right out of the oven. And, as its name implies, it is best eaten with a spoon! This hearty dish dates back to the 18th century and originated from a Native American porridge called "Suppawn". Now you can add this delicious, soufflé-soft spoon bread to any meal --- or make it a meal in itself --- with the help of our easy-to-make mix. 16 oz package makes a 1 1/2 quart dish.
